Registration for iRIS Training
In an effort to facilitate the process of submitting protocols via the iRIS system, the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic and Research Affairs in conjunction with the IRB Office offers IRIS Training on a regular basis. This training session consists of a 2 hour hands-on session to learn how to use the iRIS system to submit research protocols involving human subjects to the IRB.
The first half of the session will provide participants with an overview of the submission process including completing the online application, attaching consent forms, HIPAA forms and other study documents and the routing and sign-off process. The second half of the class will provide an overview on how to respond to "pending issues" once the submission has been returned to the Principal Investigator or Study Staff. There are opportunities to ask questions during the session. Parking will be validated.
